OBT v0.9 - Music, Effects, Player Bonus

Hey guys!

Just updated a new version of the game. As you wounderfull people sugested, I added music, sound effects, as well as visual effects.

The music I chose is clock by nojisuma. The sound effects are just some samples I got from Chrome Music Lab' Song Maker. I was going to let these sound effects as temp effects to change later, but I found the end result surprisingly good! So I think I will keep it this way :3

I added a small but discrete explosion like effect to when the enemies and player are defeated. I also addded some visual effects such as a screen shake when the player is hit by a enemy.

Finally, I made a small change in the gameplay. Namely, now when you clean a wave you gain more life or 10 extra points for the score if your life is full.

I'm considering the state of the game as almost complete, with just some final touches to add, so I'm calling this version 0.9

You’re crushing it with these iterative passes on polishing and improving the game! Seriously, it’s awesome to see. The game is feeling so good. The sfx, music, and subtle animations you added on top of the last update really bring the game together. Kudos for sticking with the project.

Thank you so much for playing and for your feedbacks!

It's been really fun to work on this game. It also helps that I got addicted to it XD

Though the last update made it feel too easy for me now :P.  I think I will add a hard mode where you don't have the luxury of getting new lives at the end of each wave, or something like that :P

Have to work on some performance issues now too, beacause of the new way I indicate the number of remaining enemies in the wave ( those little hexagons on the borders - too many draw calls for the web version to handle)

It’s funny how iterating on something to make it better can often make it easier. 😂 Would love to learn about how you handle the performance improvements in the DR Discord if you’re up for sharing. Cheers!
